# I can't sign in (/docs/en/troubleshooting/cant-sign-in)

You try to sign in and Salisan refuses you or sends you back to the start. Anyone in a practice can see this.

## Check these first [#checks]

1. **Use the method you signed up with.** The sign-in page offers **Continue with Google**, **Clinic SSO**, **Passkey** and **Continue with email**. Choose the one you used before. If you created your account with Google, it has no password yet. Sign in with Google, then choose **Set password** under **Settings → Security**.
2. **Check the email address and password.** Use **Show password** to see what you typed. Salisan says **Invalid email or password** without telling you which one is wrong.
3. **Reset the password.** Choose **Forgot password?** and enter your email address. Salisan sends a 6-digit code, not a link. The code expires after 5 minutes, so use the one in the most recent email or choose **Resend code**. A password that appears in a known data breach is refused.
4. **Wait if you tried several times.** After repeated attempts Salisan asks you to wait a minute. After too many failed code checks it locks the account, and the message tells you to wait 15 minutes.
5. **Check your invitation.** If **Invitation unavailable** appears, the invitation may have expired, been used already or belong to another account. Invitations expire after 7 days, and the invited email address cannot be changed. Sign in with that exact address, or ask someone in your practice who can invite people to invite you again from **Organization → People**.
6. **Use Clinic SSO if your practice requires it.** When a practice requires single sign-on, members can no longer sign in with a password, a passkey or Google. If you try a password or a passkey, Salisan tells you that your clinic requires single sign-on. Choose **Clinic SSO** and enter your work email. If the message says your clinic has not invited this account, ask an administrator to invite your exact work address. Signing in with your identity provider does not create a membership.
7. **Check for a second step.** If you are asked for a code from an authenticator app, see [My authenticator code is not accepted](/docs/en/troubleshooting/two-factor-problems).

## If it still doesn't work [#still-stuck]

If you cannot reach the workspace, use the Contact page on the Salisan website and choose **Support**. See [Contact support](/docs/en/troubleshooting/contact-support#no-access).

Send the email address you sign in with, the method you chose, the time and the exact message. Do not send your password, one-time codes or recovery codes. Never use a colleague's account or codes to get in.
