# A button, page or setting is missing (/docs/en/troubleshooting/missing-option)

A page is missing from the sidebar, a button is not there, or a setting you were told about does not exist for you. Salisan hides what you cannot use, so each cause below has a different fix.

## Check these first [#checks]

1. **Your role.** The sidebar follows your permissions. **Insights**, **Library**, **Publishing** and **Organization** sit under **Manage**, so open that group first. **Organization** is only for people who manage the practice, **Agent** needs the permission **Use AI features**, and only owners manage billing and some practice settings. A message such as **You don't have access to this area**, or **Read-only access**, means your role lacks the permission. Ask an owner or admin to check your role under **Organization → People**.
2. **A paused workspace.** When a trial or subscription ends or a payment fails, the workspace pauses. The sidebar then offers only **Patients**, records are read-only, and a banner says so. An owner chooses a plan or updates the payment method in billing, and patient records are not deleted.
3. **Your plan.** A message **Not included in your plan** means the feature belongs to a higher plan. Examples are custom access roles, custom dashboards, cohorts, anonymised export, and extra teams or locations. In Insights, locked tabs show a lock and explain what the plan adds. Ask your practice's owner to upgrade. If the Agent says AI is unavailable for your subscription, tell an owner.
4. **Your country.** The **Marketplace** only lists forms, reports, emails and skills published for your practice's country, so a template you saw elsewhere may not appear. The country is fixed when the practice is created.
5. **Nothing to sign.** **To sign** only appears in the sidebar while you have unsigned visits.

## If it still doesn't work [#still-stuck]

Ask an owner or admin whether your role should include it. See [Roles and access](/docs/en/get-started/roles-and-access) and [People and access](/docs/en/guides/people-and-access#roles).

If your role is correct, [contact support](/docs/en/troubleshooting/contact-support). Say which page you opened, what you expected to find, your role (an admin can tell you) and what you see instead. Do not include patient names.
