Salisan

Clinical responsibility

The clinician decides and signs. What the Agent proposes, what waits for confirmation, and what Salisan does not claim.

The Terms of Service put clinical responsibility with the practice. All clinical decisions, record entries and communications with patients are made by the practice's users, who remain responsible for them under their professional obligations. They review records, documents and messages, including AI output, before relying on, saving or sending them.

The clinician decides

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. The Terms call it a draft for review, not professional advice from Salisan.

The Agent is instructed not to give a patient-specific diagnosis, differential, dose, treatment or test choice, and not to rank patients. These are instructions to a language model. They are not a guarantee, so review every output.

The Agent has no tool to sign a note. A clinician signs.

What waits for you

The Agent proposes. These steps need a person:

What the Agent preparesWhat you do
Changes to the patient recordThe changes are staged as drafts. Review them, then add them to the record. Nothing is recorded until you do.
Text edits in a document, letter or formChoose Keep or Dismiss for each change.
Sending an email or a formChoose Approve or Decline. After approval the item waits 30 seconds, so you can still undo it.
Creating, moving or cancelling an appointmentChoose Approve or Decline.
Moving a file to another shelfChoose Approve or Decline.

The Agent always asks for the last three actions. For some smaller actions each member chooses under Agent settings → Approvals: creating tasks, assigning tasks, completing, reopening or cancelling tasks, commenting on tasks, and renaming files. They ask by default, except commenting on a task. A member who turns asking off lets the Agent do that action without a prompt.

Approval is only as good as the review behind it. Check the patient, the recipient, the time and the content on the card before you approve.

Records of AI work

Salisan records each approval and decline in its audit records with the person and the time. The record history marks entries made with the Agent. See Access and audit.

An excluded patient is out of reach of the Agent. See How the AI works.

What Salisan does not claim

The Terms state that Salisan supports documentation, administration and communication. It is not intended for any medical purpose within the meaning of Article 2(1) of the EU Medical Device Regulation, such as diagnosing, preventing, monitoring, predicting, treating or alleviating a disease. It is not CE-marked as a medical device. The Terms forbid using it, or presenting it to anyone, for such purposes or as a source of decisions in an emergency.

Salisan has not published an EU AI Act classification or conformity statement. To ask, write to legal@salisan.com.

If the Agent gets something wrong

Do not rely on the output. Fix or dismiss it, and tell your practice administrator. To tell Salisan, see Contact support and do not include patient details. For permission and tool errors see Agent problems.
