Insights

Your records already hold the answers.

Every visit, form and reading is already in Salisan. Insights lets you ask it questions in plain words and see the answer as a chart.

Every line is a record.

01The questions

Every clinic has questions.

  1. Which age groups book online, and which still phone us?Survey answers · age
  2. Which conditions are more common in our women, and which in our men?Conditions · sex
  3. How does blood pressure change with age, for women and for men?Vitals · age · sex
  4. Are we busier than last year, month by month? This year · last year

The answers are already in your records. Getting them out takes an analyst.

02Where the data goes

Records go in.
Answers don't come out.

Documents, forms, readings and appointments pile up in the record. Much of it sits in free text, or is never looked at again. So a simple question turns into an export, a spreadsheet and a wait.

What the research says

Data rich, information poor

is how researchers described hospital departments: they collect plenty of data but lack the time and resources to turn it into improvement.

Quality improvement in 4 departments of a Swedish hospital, 2021

Bergerum et al., BMJ Open Quality, 2022

80–95%

of the medical terms written in clinical documents had no matching diagnosis code for the same visit.

15,000 US visits, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, 2010–2023 data

Smith et al., JAMIA Open, 2026

Questions about Insights

No. Insights reads facts that leave out names, birth dates, addresses and free text, and it only ever returns totals.
