Roll out Salisan in 30 days
A week-by-week plan for a practice owner to set up Salisan, bring in the team and start with real patients.
This plan takes a practice owner from a new workspace to a team that works in Salisan every day. It assumes you created the practice and hold the Owner role. Reading takes about 10 minutes. The work itself is spread over four weeks.
Before you start
Open Home. As owner you see a chip such as Setup 0 of 4 beside the greeting. Choose it to open the checklist Opening week with four rows: Invite your team, Check your working hours, Set up patient communication and Add your first patient. A row is ticked when the work is really done, so use it as your tracker. Your test patient also ticks the last row. That does not mean real patients have started.
Decide who does what: who administers the workspace (one or two people), which clinicians start first, and who works the front desk.
Week 1: set the foundations
Goal: what patients see from your practice is correct, and the calendar can take bookings.
- Check the contact email, the main address and the patient communication settings. The country comes from the main address and cannot be changed in the app later. See Practice settings.
- Set working hours, availability and appointment types. See Calendar settings.
- Look at your plan, seats and AI credits under Organization → Settings (Organization is under Manage in the sidebar). See Billing.
- Create the test patient from Learn and book an appointment for them, with your own email address on file.
Lesson: Set up the practice and its calendar.
Week 2: bring in the team
Goal: everyone can sign in and reach the patients they work with.
- Invite people with the right role: Member for doctors, therapists and nurses, Secretary for the front desk, Admin for a second administrator. Each member takes a billed seat, so invite the people who start now. See People and access.
- Create teams if your plan includes them, and assign patients to clinicians.
- Ask everyone to set up two-factor protection. See Account and security. Check 2FA on or 2FA off in Organization → People.
- Send each person to their path: doctors, nurses, front desk or practice admins. Each path points to the matching Learn course.
Lesson: Invite your team with the right access.
Week 3: prepare what patients receive
Goal: forms and emails are published and tested, and the team has practised once.
- Publish the forms and email templates you need first. Send each one to your own address and read it the way a patient will. Archive any tests. See Templates.
- Review the Agent settings: which actions ask first, who has an AI credit limit, and how long recordings are kept. See Agent settings.
- Decide how your practice tells patients about recordings. That is the practice's job, and Salisan does not ask patients for you.
- Hold a rehearsal with one clinician, one front desk colleague and the test patient: register, book, send a form, start a visit, record, sign.
Lessons: Publish a form for your team, then the front desk and clinician courses.
Week 4: go live and watch
Goal: real patients, with someone watching the signals.
- Start with a small number of appointments. Ask clinicians to sign their visits the same day. To sign in the sidebar shows what is waiting.
- For the first week, spend five minutes each morning on Organization → Overview, the section Needs attention and the section Didn't arrive under Organization → Emails.
- At the end of the month, review Insights, the AI credit usage and the Audit tab. Require two-factor for everyone only when every member has set it up. See Data and compliance.
Lesson: Keep watch over the practice.
Check before real patients
- A patient email arrives at your own address from the right sender, with the right reply address.
- A booked appointment shows the right time in the confirmation.
- Every clinician can open a patient assigned to them and sign a visit.
- The front desk can register a patient and send a form.
- Someone owns the daily check of failed emails and unsigned visits.
- Everyone knows where to ask for help: Contact support.
